I have decided to give away one of my novels, "The Santiago Gospel". You can download it for free, no strings attached, by clicking on the cover image to the left. This historical adventure and action thriller is actually two stories set a thousand years apart, each with a focus on Santiago de Compostela and its legendary past. The stories are linked by a secret document of incalculable value.

I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please feel free to share it.

Okay, there is a catch, but just a small one. And only if you feel like it. If you enjoy the book and you think it might even have been worth paying for, then please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice. Just a couple of bucks to someone collecting for a good cause makes a difference.

I'd like to tell you about a great way to make a huge difference by helping the needy in poor countries. Microloans don't just provide short term help; they're lifting thousands of families in underdeveloped countries to achieve independence by providing the small amounts needed to set up a micro business.

Using these loans, people have become self sufficient by, for example, buying a sewing machine to make clothes or setting up a road side stall to sell provisions, simple meals or drinks.

One way you can help is by making a small loan through the good folk at Kiva. Your money goes directly to help the candidate of your choice. And when the money is paid back, you can either reclaim it or relend it to help someone else.

If you think you might be interested in helping someone in need who wants to suceed but just needs a helping hand, then please go to www.kiva.org and see how a small amount can change not just a life but future generations because the person you help is then able to educate his or her children.

And that changes everything.

I should probably mention that I have no connection whatsoever to Kiva, or any other charity, other than as a contributor.

I'd love to hear what you think of The Santiago Gospel. And I'd especially like to hear about it if you decide to make a donation, either to Kiva or to another worthwhile group. Because if this idea works as a way to help raise money, I plan to do it again with some other writing projects I have in mind.

And, whatever you decide about making a donation to a needy cause, happy reading. I hope you enjoy The Santiago Gospel.
